Passionate about using her nursing and teaching experience to develop evidence based training and development programmes to enhance authentic person centred practice. Designs and develops creative learning programmes integrating music in care practice with traditional care principles.
JoCo Learning and Development is a health and social care training company. Its vision is to promote evidence based, person centred practice in all areas of care practice. The team have a special interest in dementia and have developed award winning ‘Music in Care’ programmes and resources for care teams, musicians, people living with dementia and their Carers. Their work with care homes has contributed to ‘outstanding’ ratings and a variety of care awards. They are involved in a range of community projects that promote therapeutic use of music to improve wellbeing and quality of life.
JoCo administrates ‘The Heron Café’ a charitable community music project and the MiD Network.
